Leana brings something a little different to the table with her focus on the gravity assisted side of racing. Leana has been racing bikes for almost her entire life and has found her calling in the dual slalom and four cross events. She has won numerous national events and dominates the local Northwest gravity scene. This year she is tweaking her schedule and will be focusing on endurance downhill and dual slalom races at the national and international level.

With the healing properties of the “the juice” on her side, Leana plans on making a big comeback after being out most of last season with a broken foot. “It was heartbreaking to hear the doctor tell me I was out for the entire race season, however, I’m more stoked than ever to be riding again and I’ve never been so motivated to win races”.

Leana recently graduated from Western Washington University with a degree in marketing and with no more school obligations is avoiding another soggy Northwest winter by heading to France for training. With her entire focus on racing bikes, Leana will undoubtedly make the 2009 season her best yet.
