Alex reports on a stellar weekend…

“Saturday was the Taming the Tetons Cross Country which I won with a 3rd lap acceleration.  Thanks to Emv my last lap was my fastest!

Sunday morning was the traditional Teton Pass Hill Climb- a road and mountain bike dual hill climb that ascends the brutally steep Teton Pass twice.  The road climb is 4.5 miles and climbs 2,300 feet while the “mountain” version, held 1 hour later, is 5 miles and climbs over 2,800 feet.

After winning the road climb, I had a small lead going in to the 2nd leg, the “mountain” climb, which includes 30 minutes of paved climbing.  I drank an Emv 30 minutes prior to starting and felt great on the 2nd climb.  I could tell most people were feeling the effects of the previous race but I felt the best I had all weekend.  I won the mountain leg by over 4 minutes and took the overall.  Emv rules!”
