BC Bike Race Day 2 and 3

Tough time finding the web up in the North Country.

Day 2: All 4 teams faced a little adversity which is nothing new in MTB stage racing.

Sonntag and Shriver: Riding fast, missed turn, lengthened stage, lost time, sitting in 6th. Watch out on day 3…

Gillespie and Grant: BG slow to warm up, navigational mishap,hit tree and broken helmet, broken chain, stuck together and recovered for 5th. Staying positive and enjoying the trail no matter what!

Sue and Bryan: An early flat and miles of singletrack can test anyone’s patience, these 2 kept it together for a strong finish.

Matt and Tim: Loads of challenging trail tested their team vibe. Still friends and still in 3rd!

Day 3: Can the singletrack get any better than the day before, YUP! What about the views?

Sonntag and Shriver: With the lead group until 3k to go when “the German” found himself “ass over tea kettle” . Broken seat didn’t stop them,  finished 3rd  but a little bummed to miss the winning sprint.

Bart and Alex: Solid steady day. Exercise in team work. Finished up 6th. Scalpels worked perfect!

Sue and Bryan: Great ride! Made up time on the long climb and are looking continue to clawing back the  GC.

Matt and Tim: Tim is working into the Down Hill sections and as always, “Ohran is on Fire.”

Jamin and Chris continue to work around the clock to keep the largest compound at the race dialed and stocked with salty chips and Monavie on ice!
