With temperatures again soaring into the triple digits, today proved to be another exercise in “heat management.”
Team Monavie-Cannondale gets it done again with frozen bottles, ice packs in jerseys at feed zones, cooling vests, post race ice baths, VelEau mobile hydration systems, BD flash hydration packs, and off course ice cold Emv!!!
Jeremiah Bishop wins in a sprint finish over Canadian Chris Sheppard with Ben Sonntag coming in 2nd and Tinker Juarez 3rd. Sue Butler also continued her dominating ways with another stage win! The “director” Matt Ohran had a solid ride in 9th.
