Leana Wins Four Cross at Angel Fire

Angel Fire, New Mexico- Between scattered showers and at an altitude of about 9,000 feet, large crowds gathered to watch some of the nation’s best four cross racers tackle the toughest course in the country. The resort played host to the first stop for the Pro Gravity Race Tour in the four cross event and the World Cup course did not disappoint. With a new wall ride and loose corners there were plenty of opportunities for passing and the racing action was intense. The first corner was the key for many racers with the only goal being to survive it, still on the bike.

Leana Gerrard won the pro women’s class, winning every heat. “I was stoked to have done so well here. I was really aiming to get some UCI points so I can race the world cups in Canada later this year. The last time I raced this track there were some jumps I wasn’t doing, so I was pleased with how much my riding has progressed and hope to continue the progression throughout the season.”
