Sao Paulo, Brazil
October 14th, 2009 | Posted by Bart | Topic: NewsWith nearly 18 million inhabitants, Sao Paulo Brazil ranks as the 4th largest city in the world. Larger than any city in the United States and dificult to comprehend until you see it first hand.
In the days leading up to Iron Biker Brasil, Team Monavie-Cannondale is spending a couple days in Sao Paulo as guests of Monavie Corperate in Brazil. Every detail has been looked after including a Team Monavie-Cannondale Sprinter, just like home in the states.

The Monavie crew here in Brazil is exactly what you would expect, super friendly and super professional. The office building is in the first floor of an ultra modern mini high rise and includes a meeting area, offices, Monavie Mall, and of course product pickup.

In such a large city where do you go to train on the bike? The roads are congested like nothing we have experienced and just riding from the hotel may be deadly. We were fortunate enough to be driven to The University of Sao Paulo where we rode on the large campus in realative saftey, although Matt did manage to crash in the wet grass!

Following our training ride in the Southern Hemisphere heat we rehydrated with monavie and coconut water.

Tonight’s a Monavie distributor meet and greet and then flying to the race tomorrow morning.
